Chapter Chula Samyan is strategically located with access in multiple directions to established business districts in Silom and Sathorn, traditional residential and commercial areas in Bangkok’s Chinatown, and nearby some of the City’s largest mixed-use developments on Rama 4 Road. One MRT station West from Samyan is Hua Lamphong MRT Station in Bangkok’s Chinatown. In Q3 2019 the MRT Blue Line will be further extended from Hua Lamphong greatly adding to accessibility to areas to the West of Bangkok from Chapter Chula Samyan.
The new Blue Line extension will run from from Hua Lamphong to Lak Song and is 14 kilometers long and has eleven stations. Of note for tourists are the stations in Chinatown and Rattanakosin island. The latter is only a short walk from the Temple of the Reclining Buddha and the Grand Palace. At present, there are 19 stations on the Blue Line which stretches from Tao Poon to Hua Lamphong.
The eleven new stations on the Blue Line extension are: Wat Mangkon, Sam Yot, Sanam Chai, Itsaraphap, Tha Phra (interchange station), Bang Phai, Bang Wa (interchange with BTS), Phetkasem 48, Phasi Charoen, Bang Khae, and Lak Song. The second extension from Tao Poon that is expected to open in 2020 has eight new stations which are: Bang Pho, Bang O, Bang Phlat, Sirindhorn, Bang Yi Khan, Bang Khun Non, Fai Chai, Charan 13 and finally the interchange station at Tha Phra.
